Types of Poverty

” In today’s society, everyone refers to themselves as poor, without being in actual poverty. Just because you do not have enough money to purchase something at the time being, does not mean you are poor. We as a society throw the word “poverty” around without actually LIVING in poverty.”
I completely agree with this statement. We use the term “poverty” without truly realizing what it is.

In our time today Poverty is rather significantly high in the Philippines and in other countries. You need money to buy food. You need money to send your own kids to school and to go to other places. Basically, you need money to survive in this harsh world. These are all costs of being poor. You cannot do or should I say cannot do what you ‘need’ or wants to be able to simply because you are poor. Those people who are barely able to pay for food and shelter simply can’t consider these other expenses. When people are excluded…

I am using the program Adobe Spark as a way to include audio components and essentially make a presentable multimedia slideshow. Do stay tuned for once it is complete I will provide a file in order to check it out.

Another You Guessed it MEME!

Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X joined forces by making a song combining country and rap. The major differences between their genres didn’t stop them from creating a masterpiece. Even though their music was on different ends of the scale they were able to work together. YOU CAN TOO!! Find people in your community and help the homeless. Doesn’t matter how different or similar you are with your community if you guys have a goal to help the community you can reach it together. We believe in you!!

MEME

For the past week I have researched information on poverty. Specifically I have learned about the reality of the myths about poverty. Now that I’m more educated and aware I am finally can create their meme and say I can’t relate to believing in these misconceptions.

Our progress

We still have a long way to go but we have been analyzing our statistics on how to reach a bigger audience.

We have to work on making our blog more appealing so that we can reach people outside our community. We are going to use hashtags and interact with more accounts that are also interested in helping change the poverty in out society.

Donate!

Donating food, clothes, money etc to any shelter near you is going to help many people. You may think it won’t do a lot but it can help those who in need and give people in poverty the necessary materials.

Yet Another Meme

This time the meme is referencing an issue with the MTA. Since the catchphrase “See something, Say something” is emphasized by the service themselves a decided to call them out using their the same phrase but telling them to utilize it themselves. Many homeless people residing in NYC live in these stations so if the MTA wants us to say something they need to see that they also say something about these people living in poverty

WHAT IS POVERTY?

This is a great blog clearly describing why poverty essentially is while also mentioning the other types of poverty.
